Volunteering can be defined as someone’s activities, which are pursued within a social initiative based on his own desire or because of a need, for the people who are not from his close circle without any monetary or any other expectation in order to achieve goals which will bring benefits to the society

Being a Volunteer at TEV

The ethics of volunteering at TEV consists of values such as solidarity, belonging, mutual trust and all those values make meaningful contribution to life.

Who Can Be a Volunteer

To have the necessary education, occupation, and personal qualities, which will contribute to the activities and functions, which are in accordance with the purpose, vision, and mission of the foundation, are the conditions to become a volunteer at TEV.

Who Can I Become a Volunteer

Candidates can achieve information about volunteering on www.TEV.org or contact branch offices to select the locations where they prefer to work and can formally apply for volunteering by filling out the volunteering application form (available only in Turkish).

Steps To Become a Volunteer


Candidates’ online applications for volunteering are transferred to the information system of the foundation and appear in an application status.

Everyone who wants to serve as a volunteer for the foundation needs to pass fo llowing informative steps.

Introductory Meeting

This meeting is a half-a-day meeting which describes the vision, mission, fields of activities, organizational structure of the foundation, and the responsibilities of the head office and branches. The meeting is organized by the Volunteering Supervisors.

Elementary Volunteering Meeting

Elementary Volunteering Meetings are organized under two main topics:

Information about Volunteering: This is a half-a-day meeting which aims with its content to share the concept of volunteering for new applicants, the criteria to become a volunteer at TEV, and the behavioral competencies expected from volunteers.

Items to be Cautious in Communication: This is a one-day informative meeting which contains subjects such as corporate culture of the foundation, items to be taken into consideration while communicating to the team, the donors and the scholars, team work, the elements of the communication process, effective communication etc.

In order to work as a volunteer at TEV, it is necessary to have completed all informative meetings.

After the introductions, the candidates are asked to read the Regulations on Volunteering and to take a copy of the document with them in exchange for their signiture. All candidates who have filled out the Application Form for Volunteering are expected to provide 2 passport photographs, a copy of their identity card, if possible a copy of their diploma, and their criminal records certificate.
